As someone who spends much time working on a computer, I often forget about my body and its connection to productivity and well-being.

It's easy to get lost in the motions and ignore the flow of energy and thoughts within us. We tend to focus solely on our heads, neglecting the rest of our bodies from feet up.

But what if I told you that we can enhance our productivity and overall well-being by becoming more aware of our body, particularly our feet?

In this blog post, I'll discuss the importance of body awareness and posture, specifically focusing on our feet.

Body Alignment and Posture:

Picture yourself sitting in your office chair, relaxed but perhaps not in the most structurally aligned position.

Let's focus on adjusting our posture to optimize body alignment.

Sit upright, ensuring your back is supported by the chair and your sacrum is well-supported.

Place your feet gently on the ground, directly under your knees, forming a right angle.

Becoming aware of different structures and how they align allows us to connect with our bodies and bring our thoughts back home.

Internal Awareness:

Now, let's shift our attention to internal awareness.

Place one hand in front of your body below your belly button and the other over your brow but not touching.

Slowly, you will become aware of an energetic sensation within the space between your hands and body.

Feel the energy pulse between your hands and your body, allowing a sensation of frequency vibration to attune your body awareness.

By activating this internal energetic awareness, we connect with our body and bring our thoughts into focus.

Following your inhalation and exhalation cycle, what feels most aligned to you, swap the position of your hands, placing the alternate hand in front of your belly and the other over your brow.

Repeat activation: Feel the energy pulse between your hands and your body, allowing a sensation of frequency vibration to attune your body awareness.

This simple exercise helps activate a sense of presence and awareness, stimulating the energy within us.

Harnessing the Power of Thought:

Sometimes in our day, we feel exhausted and unable to think clearly, even though we need to generate fresh ideas.

In such moments, try this technique to rejuvenate your mind.

Bring your feet, ankles, and knees together, and place one hand on your belly and the other on your forehead.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, reposition your feet and knees apart.

Then, relax your breath out with a sigh, wriggle your hips, and bring your hands down to your sides.

This exercise helps channel the power of thought into your body, enabling you to reconnect with the ideas that may have eluded you.

It is very helpful when you forget why you walked into a room.

Engaging the Energetics Within:

Our bodies are complex and intricate, storing every experience and memory we encounter. By bringing awareness to our bodies, we activate their energetic centers.

Shift your attention to your feet, feeling their connection with the Earth.

Notice the awakening sensation in your sacrum, which represents the root of your Kundalini energy.

As we establish this connection, energy flows through our legs, heart, breath, throat, diaphragm, and brow, activating different aspects of our being.

This activation helps align us with our divine light, and the heart space/sternum propels us forward, gaining insight and direction.

Minute Awareness: Tuning into our Feet:

Now, let's explore the minute aspects of our body.

Bring your attention back to your feet, feeling your feet gently on the ground.

Allow your awareness to transition from the soles of your feet through the muscles and ligaments to the tops of your feet.

Now, bring your focus back to the soles of your feet.

It's important to remember to keep your feet softly placed on the ground and avoid pressing them forcefully.

Take occasional breaks to wriggle, bounce your feet, and relax your body.

By constantly interrupting and returning our attention to our feet, we relax our nervous system's ability to tune into these isolated body parts.

The Five Points of the Foot:

Let's explore the five points of the foot to deepen our understanding of our feet and their impact on our structural well-being.

Be aware that one foot may feel easier to connect with than the other, and they may also speak differently.

Speaking is what I say when I am tuning in with my body; it speaks to me. You will notice different information, physical and energetic, between the left and right hemispheres of your body.

Point 1. Start by focusing on the pad of the heels.

Point 2. Heal to the ball of the little toe, the lateral edge.

Point 3. Ball of the little toe across balls to the ball of the big toe.

Point 4. Ball of the big toe to the pad of the big toe.

Point 5. Is the lift-off from the pad of the big toe, in slow walking motion with seated or standing

Be aware that one foot may feel easier to connect with than the other.

If you experience tension or frustration, allow yourself to wiggle, bounce, and release discomfort.

Once you've established this connection, reverse the sequence, starting from the pad of the big toe pt/5 > 4 > 3 > 2 > to the pad of the heel pt.1.

We can gradually enhance our body's well-being by maintaining gentle awareness and interrupting patterns.

Conclusion:

Body awareness and posture are essential factors in enhancing productivity and well-being.

By attuning to the structural importance of our feet, we tap into the body's innate wisdom and align our upright physical structures with our energetic flow.

Remember to be gentle with yourself throughout this journey of self-awareness, embracing the subtleties and interruptions along the way.

As we prioritize our body's connection to our thoughts and productivity, we empower ourselves to achieve a harmonious balance between mind and body.

So, next time you find yourself fully immersed in your work, take a moment to realign your posture, bring your awareness to your feet, and reconnect with the vital energy flowing through your being.

Embrace the power of body awareness and posture, and watch your productivity and overall well-being soar.

All our love, Vicki and team
